Hello !
Just a little thought about something's in life.....
• where do bald people stop washing there faces
• Jupiter is freaky..... A volume of over 1000 times the earth? Big ball of floating gas? Freaky
• what's the name of your favourite song at the moment? I don't have one
• where did dogs originally come from
• what's the biggest thing known to man kind?
• smallest?
• how are you affecting life right now?
• would you be sad if you were told it was the end of the world tomorrow?

Glowy Natural Skin Tutorial
Hello there!
Life is getting a little crazy and to be honest so is my skin. It's looking dry and unhealthy and just a little bit spotty. Most girls would say "grab your foundation tubes and concealer we have a spot to conquer!"
But this is not a good idea. Your skin can still look glowy and healthy without all the tone of crap we tend to put on our face.
Step 1:
Eat and drink healthily. I know everyone says this and you go "yeah yeah like that's ever gonna happen, I love cake!" This may be the case but there are really easy simple steps that you can follow to put more healthy stuff into our bodies. Take a large water bottle with you to (insert wherever you happen to be going) and aim to drink the whole thing by the end of the day and, voila more liquid in your system! It goes the same with eating healthily. This doesn't mean you have to eat salad and fruit for the rest of your life. It just means be more careful when choosing snacks. Another great way of cutting down on fatty foods is not bringing money to (insert place where you may stay all day and have to buy lunch e.g school) and take a healthy packed lunch which can really help prevent unhealthy eating.
Step 2:
Wash your face. I have never or will never be one of those people who uses 8 billion products on there skin every morning. Right now I see no need for toners, cleansers, scrubs, eye creams, oils, serums and lotions to be used all on my face in one morning. I use the (that's a name and a half) and it does a really good job of brightening and refreshing my skin. Having bright skin immediately makes it look healthy and this wash really does give a healthy glowy natural look to the skin.
Step 3:
Moisturise. I use the Gorgeous moisturiser from LUSH. This is bloomin expensive but I got this little sample size in a gift box and I am extremely sad that I will probably never be rich enough to buy it again. This moisturiser immediately brightens the skin and is a real miracle worker. I use this as primer and foundation effectively. It makes my skin look so good I've completely lost the use for foundation which in order makes my skin look amazing because I'm not shoving a hole load of chemicals onto my face. This moisturiser has pineapple, lemon and orange juice to add radiance and primrose oil to sooth and moisturise. This stuff is amazing. However if like me this is ridiculously out of your price range then the trusty E45 moisturising cream is great if a little oilier.
Step 4:
Concealer. I only apply concealer under my eyes now. This really helps to brighten my complection and appear less tired then I actually am. I used to never apply concealer anywhere on my face especially under my eyes because my face just doesn't seem to like it but then I met a little gem called the Loreal True Match Concealer. It is bloomin amazing. I use the lightest shade under my eyes which is Vanilla. It is probably half a shade lighter then my natural face colour and I love it. I apply this under the eyes with a Real Techniques Duo Fiber Contour Brush which applies it amazingly natural. I would definitely recommend both these products.
Natural Collection Blush Peach Melba £1.99
Step 5:
A little blush. Using a light blush can really illuminate the skin and give it a little more colour. Obviously if you have rosy cheeks already there is no need for blush. But if like me your a bit colourless in the face department then a light dusting of peachy, rosy toned blush can really help give your face a lift. I use the Natural Collection blush in Peach Melba and it is gorgeous. A light dusting of this immediately finishes the look. Cream blushes are also great but I find it hard to get the right amount of product on my skin and it can end up looking to much. Less is more in the blush scenario.
With this look I always go for a light gold toned eyeshadow and a lip balm with a green undertone. A light coating of brown mascara and a light coating of powder under my eyes.

How to get more followers on Blogger
Hello!
You know lots of people look up how do I get more followers? Well this is the 3 rules that everyone says you should follow
Rule #1: Stay on topic. Pick a topic that you love, and stick to it. If you wander off that topic, people will stop following.
Rule #2: Optimize your blog. Learn how to use keywords to get more traffic from search engines.
Rule #3: Keep your posts short. There are very few people that will read anything longer than a few paragraphs.
And… I officially declare those three rules to be 100% horse manure, not to mention BORING.
I present to you Humphrey's new revitalized list.
Rule #1. Write about whatever the heck you want to write about. You can keep some general topics, but if you haven’t noticed, SDL is all over the place and most survive the experience intact.
Rule #2. What is optimization? Why worry about search? Somebody clicking in because a friend told them to come visit is 10,000 times more powerful than somebody clicking in from a search engine. Focus on what will make that happen, instead.
Rule #3. Keep it short? Are you serious? Yes, most of the time, but use however many words you need to use if you’re putting an important message out there. The bullying post was somewhere in the area of 4,000 words. That’s around 19 pages double-spaced, and in its first three days it had more than a quarter million views. Had I tried to sum it up in 500 words it would have died out the gates because the message would have been left behind.
Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Butter
Hello!
Just before we start I am so not about to scream at my laptop for being slow and old and not working with my camera. Nope I am totally calm and really not frustrated and I am so not about to cry.
This body butter is my new obsession. I think it is probably the best thing I have used on my body.
First lets talk about the amazing smell. I normally apply this at about 7.30 in the morning and I can still smell it on my skin after 5.00 that night. It is amazing. This is my current favourite fragrance. It smells of limes and something sweet. It's not a specific smell but to me it kind of like the smell of sweet yogurt or cream cheese minus the cheese. I don't know but whatever it is it smells incredible.
The product itself is super moisturising and feels really nice on the skin. I am definitely (totally haven't spent 5 minutes figuring out how to spell that word) going to repurchase this about a gizzilion times.
The only down side is that it cost £10.50 which isn't exactly budget friendly. Hey mum you know how you have some money..... :)

Oh Hallelujah my camera has started working after half an hour of near serious break down. Enjoy the pictures. Personally I think you should follow my blog just for the amount of frustration and perseverance that went into this post. There was actual tears. ACTUAL TEARS!!

What's in my Shower?
Hello!!
Today is something a little different from my usual as I'm going to be going through whats been living in my shower for the past few weeks.
Garnier Pure Active Anti-Blackhead Deep Pore Wash - £2.65
Pantene Pro Light Repair and Protect Shampoo - £2.09
Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Moisture and Shine Conditioner - £3.99
Today is something a little different from my usual as I'm going to be going through whats been living in my shower for the past few weeks.
This is one of those body washes that is just good. It does what it supposed to and makes my skin super soft. Recently I have been suffering from dry skin and this has cleared that up amazingly well. It has a lovely clean soapy scent that I personally love. It isn't super amazingly special but I like it.
This next body wash is a Christmas present that I got on Thursday (late prezzies are the best don't ya think?). It's a mini size of the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush shower wash. I was a bit skeptical of this as every time I've smelt it in Boots it didn't really appeal to me but now I've used it a few times I can see why people like the smell. It definitely is not a sugary scent it reminds me of lime and cream. The wash itself is super smooth and feels quite foamy. Definitely going to repurchase this one.
This is probably the worst thing I have ever put on my face... ever. It claims to unclog pores whilst keeping skin silky smooth and hydrates. It's awful. I have serious blackhead problems and I was hoping this would just clear it all up. Oh no. There still there. Ok they've gotten a bit better but my skin is so dry. Literally the skin round my nose is flaking. It's gross and quite frankly I hate this. Waste of money.
Pantene Pro Light Repair and Protect Shampoo - £2.09
This Shampoo is a new one I've been trying and I quite like it. It smells of fruit mainly watermelon and is very nice. I quite like the feel of this in my hair and it does keep it healthy and is helping the dryness of my hair at the moment. As I am growing my hair at the moment I have really dry split ends and it isn't in great shape. This is helping my hair look slightly better.
Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Moisture and Shine Conditioner - £3.99
I did a review of this way back in April or something and I still love it just as much. It keeps my hair soft and shiny. Adds control and keeps my hair clean for days. It smells gorgeous helps take out knots and is just generally a really good conditioner. I also love the shampoo but I just ran out of that.

Spring Vision Wishlist
Hello there!
I have to say I am extremely excited for Spring this year. I have a vision of myself at a picnic in the sun wearing the perfect outfit. But first I have to accumulate all of the stuff to achieve my vision. So I thought I would create a wishlist for you.
ASOS Stripy Long Sleeved Top - I have been wanting a long sleeved top like this for a while now; and you may be thinking "that's a pretty standard item of clothing why would you want one of them?" Well I have always loved black and white striped clothing like this and recently I just haven't been buying them. So this Spring I'm going to buy plenty of stripy tops to make up for my slight lacking in that department.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick - Bright Orange-Red - Bring on the next part of my Spring Vision. Bright matte orange lips and stripy tops? Hello! Now I'm not exactly sure whether I can pull off such a bright colour but I'm going to try. This Kat Von D liquid lipstick is super bright and very Spring/Summer appropriate. However it is a little pricey. Any suggestions in the comments about a cheaper option would be much appreciated
TopShop Pelaxed Utility Trousers - Black - These trousers are gorgeous! They are just amazing. The rips in the knees make them cool. The tailored style makes them formal. The big pockets make them boyish and practical. They are just gorgeous! And because there 5/6 length (??????? not 3/4 so what are they then? 5/6) they are going to keep you warm but not to hot.
Desert Boots - I know what your thinking. Desert boots seriously? They are like so last summer! Well I know but I blooming couldn't find a single pair last year that fitted or that I liked. There was a desert boot famine. But I've finally found them. Thats all I'm saying.

H&M hat - You know how Zoe and Gabby are always rocking the floppy hats. Well I kinda like the idea and I've been eyeing up this simple one from H&M for a while now. Although I do have a slight problem. I have a huge head. It never fits in anything. Do you know of any places that sell hats not made for mice?

TheBarry M Nail Polishes
Hello there!!
Now we all know what a Barry M nail polish is and we have all read about a squibillion reviews on them but..... I'm doing this anyways.
417 Carousel Limited Edition |
This nail polish was given to me quite recently and it is beautiful. The colour itself is a stunning bright coral with gold duo-chrome shimmers. It applies well. It's a 1 coat wonder (whoop whoop) and would look amazing at the pool side in summer.
306 Blueberry Ice-Cream and 308 Berry Ice-Cream |
These are some of my favourite nail polishes for spring time as they are really cute pastel colours. These apply really well and you can get away with 1 or 2 coats with these. They also have good stay power and will last for 5-6 days without chipping if you apply them properly.
This Polish is from the Chameleon range. These nail polishes change colour and you would think they would be awesome..... Uhuh. Not quite. The nail polish chipped after my first day of wearing it and it turns from a gorgeous silvery lilac to just a very ordinary silver. Not quite the amazingness I was expecting.

The Plum Lips Edit
Hello Humphers!
Last post I did I promised a Plum Lip post on my favourite plum wintery colours so here we are!!
Miss Sporty Perfect Colour Lipstick 033 Miss Purple |
This colour is very glittery so if your not into glitz then move on.
However this lipstick is the perfect Pinky, Plummy, Purple. It smells amazing (watermelon...mmmm...) and it lasts quite a while I would say 2-3 hours which is very good for a lipstick that only costs £2.59! You can feel the glitter on your lips but I kinda like it. But you know personal taste and what not.
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick 330 Sloane's Plum This is by far the best lipstick I own although unfortunately I only own this one very daring colour. It is an extremely deep plum which is almost black. The lipstick itself is extremely creamy and moisturising (eh duh moisture renew lipstick). These don't get nearly enough praise on the internet! |
My Mum and Dad kindly gave this to me for Christmas and I've been wearing it non stop. The colour payoff is immaculate. This shade is a pretty rosey-plum and is a very wearable colour. So if your not keen on the WOWMYLIFE colours this is a good option and they are very cheap. The product comes with a sealing lipbalm on the end. This really does make a difference as when I just wear the product on its own it doesn't last as long.
This is the first ever lipstick I owned and it's done me a good 4 years of service. The colour is a gorgeous reddy pinky plum and is beautiful with sparkly champagne eyes. I sometimes wear this with a black lipliner or eyeliner underneath to make a lovely deep plummy black. Unfortunately the range is discontinued so you can't get your hands on one of these but I thought I would feature it anyways.
Kate Moss Lipstick 07 (dissapeared of the internet)
For some reason unknown to human since this shade has been discontinued (I only found this out like 3 seconds ago). However do not be disheartened young chaps because this lipstick had a good life, short but very sweet. This lipstick is a very nudey plum. It's verging on Kylie Jenner but is just a little darker and deeper. The lipstick itself as always is amazing with the Kate Moss collection. The finish isn't matte but not glossy. A sort of satin finish but is very moisturising and comfortable on the lips
This is the final product and is very pretty. The gloss itself is a pinky plummy colour and is very glossy. It sticks to lips well. The only down side is the annoying squeezy tube it comes in as it likes itself a bit of product. Although for a kids lipgloss it isn't bad.
PS. it smells amazing!!!

Layout I Blogging tips of the Trade #2
Hello humphers
You know when you do something bad? You know it's wrong but you do it anyway? You don't think you'll get caught. You don't think it's "that bad".
Yeah that's what I thought. I basically had to deal with the punishment.
No Blog!
This time around it will be different. Probably only one blog a week. Saturdays are the only day I get to do "real blogging" so until a time when things are different you're just going to have to deal with it.
I also want to say a HUMONGOUS thank you to everyone who stayed around long enough to read this. For me it seems like years since I sat down at a computer and just typed.
I love blogging so much I really missed it. But coming back online and seeing I still have (an extremely small) bunch of followers. My little honeyboos!
For know I'm going to put up a post I am really quite proud of that I typed out the day before the fateful day! I hope you like. Remember to comment telling me what you've been up to. Have you got a new cat? A dog? A piousness snake? How are exams? What was Christmas like? I want to know people!
Layout l Blogging tips of the Trade
I'm really enjoying writing the blogging tips of the trade series. I find it super fun writing out my tips and advice for you guys to read. Please tell me in the comments if your loving it as much as me! Today is Layout which quite frankly is the hardest and most complicated part of blogging. Blooming getting an awesome header took me about 4 months to figure out! So today I'm going to save you the hassle of being on your computer everyday until next Christmas and just tell you the tips of the trade (see what I did there? No.... Ok) Remember I am in no way an expert at blogging or giving tips so just take what you want and leave the stuff you think sounds as bad as a baboon singing a Christmas carol.
Header
Header is the first thing your reader will see when they go to your blog so it has to look good. There are so many different places you can go to get a header. You can go to a design company and pay for them to design one, You can just use a custom one from blogger (not a great idea), you can use Microsoft Word (PLEASE NOOOOOO NONONONO!!!!!) or you can design your own.
If you have just started blogging then feel free to just keep the header Blogger gives you. But as time goes on you may want to consider getting a new one. However if your reading this having just started your blog (like six seconds ago) then maybe you want to consider creating your header now before you start to write posts. Reading somebodies blog and seeing a snazzy header gives the impression of "they know what there doing"
I have had a few headers over the time I have been blogging and that's okay! It's going to take some time finding the right one for you. For every header I have used PicMonkey which is super easy to use. You can use other programs but PicMonkey is so fast and easy why would you? I will be doing a whole tutorial on how to use it soon. For now though I'll give you a little push in the write direction.
-Don't go crazy with colours and pictures sometimes the simple things are the best
-Don't make it look tacky by putting badly edited photos on it
-Keep it personal to you don't completely copy other peoples
-I always love a header that matches the rest of the blog (eh duh?) No pink header and red background!!
-Make it easy to read. Swirly writing is cute but NOT practical
-Make it big and easy to see. If it's tiny nobody is going to be able to read it.
-Don't make it to big either that's not easy on the eyes!!
Another important thing to consider is making your header related to your blog. If you write reviews on games then your not going to put pictures of Kittens on your header and if you are a beauty blogger then there will be no footballs ... anywhere!!
Make it relate to your blog. So if you do blog about gaming use blues and yellows and blacks with quite a boyish font (unless your blogging about animal crossing the DS game, the game I never had. Childhood RUINED!).
Backgrounds
Admittedly I've gone very safe here! Blue and white! WOW EXCITING!! It may not be incredibly intriguing but it is easy on the eyes and makes my blog seem crisp and professional (or "swish" if you prefer a word with some ponce). I wanted my blog to be white and bright because they're the blogs I like best. Which brings me to the most important thing about backgrounds. Make them you! If you literally have an obsession with Disney Princesses (which I do. Who doesn't?) then put tiaras or sparkles or something fairytaleish. But don't go crazy with pictures cos that's a baaad move.
As you see in the two above pictures there are many ways to make your background. These are classic examples of the right and the wrong. Lets take the first example. Lets call him Jim.
So Jim is bright and colourful and attracts the eye. Whilst killing your brain cells. The pattern may be funky but it will distract from your blogs content and make a reader switch of. They will be distracted by Jim and that is not good!!
Then lets call the second one Mary. Mary is plain and simple. A white colour will not attract the eye. However the picture has texture and looks pretty which is what you want your blog to be. It still looks professional yet has a very simple swirly pattern. I actually really like Mary I think I have a new best friend.
Text:
From personal experience with my own blog and reading others, text is a huge deal. Remember that when your making your blog you want it to look pretty but your followers need to be able to read it! I went through a stage with pretty swirly writing and believe me that was a mistake. My blog has only started gaining a couple more views over the past few months when I finally realised that the font I was using literally gave me a migraine to look at. The text on your blog should be simple. Think about the people with really bad eyesight (I feel for you guys I'm nearly blind no exaggeration!). They want to have a nice easy font to read. Think about either rounded texts or something simple like mine. You also don't want to make your text to big or to small. Blogger gives you a font when you first begin so it's easy to keep the font to the right size. If you really don't like the size of font Blogger has given you try to only go a couple of sizes up or down but nothing to crazy. If the font is to big all your gadgets down the side of your page will be bloomin MAHOUSIVE (and fuzzy and hard to read.) But if you make it to small there will be people sitting on there laptops like this...
Point proven?
Widths:
Widths are pretty darn simple if I'm truly honest. Lots of people ask how to get a good proportion between text and side bar. How to make there main text bigger, gadgets smaller ect. And it's really easy. Simply use this pictures as a guide. Try and have a big main text and a smaller gadget section this will make your blog look so much better:
-It makes your blogs wider and shorter looking instead of really long and full of text
-It will stop squished up hard to read text
-An open plan blog which can be more appealing
-It will attract readers to your main text not your gadgets
-You can have really big pictures.
Pictures:
Pictures are a big part of your blog. This section isn't on how to take the perfect photo because to be honest that is a skill I will never have. However I can tell you where to put them how big ect. ect.
As you can see this photo is very big. Thats good! Don't be worrying about making your blog posts seem to long because your pictures are big. They actually break up the space and make your blogs seem smaller and easier to read. Personally I prefer pictures that are spread out across the blog. For example if you were reading my November Wishlist (oops sneaky link) and all the pictures were at the top and your half way through reading and you forgot what a certain product looks like. Then you have to scroll all the way back up loosing your place. So my advice is keep your pictures spread out through your blog .If your talking about a lipstick then put a picture beside that text.
Gadgets:
Gadgets are and always will be complicated. I'm still confused about this gadget. Some gadgets are useful and some are plain stupid (the daily puppy really?). I personally think that the gadgets I have on my blog now are more then satisfactory.
-Bloglovin Follow Me button (you should probably click that one! ;P )
-The amount of views I have however if you have a lot a lot of views you might not want to have this up it can seem like bragging
-Google Followers You should probably click that one to! ;)
-Blog Archive here you can look at my first ever posts *cringe*
-Popular posts
-Search Bar
These are all good gadgets to have. You can also put things like your YouTube channel link if you have one or links to social media (before you ask I don't have any). You can also have things like The Daily Puppy!!!
NO! That was a joke. Gadgets are a great way to make your blog easier to navigate and also make it seem more intelligent to the untrained eye. But remember if you don't feel comfortable with having links to your social media or you don't really want to have a search bar that's totally fine your blog really won't suffer because you don't have one.
Layout in a Nutshell
-Make your header using an easy program and make it clear, easy to read and related to your blog
-Have a plain background so that it isn't distracting to the blog
-Make your text easy to read and a good size
-Have your main body text bigger then your side bar to attract people to the text
-Make your pictures big and clear and spread out through your blog
-Have useful gadgets that will make your blog better and remember what ever you do
THE DAILY PUPPY IS A NO GO!!
-Make your Layout you and don't be afraid to make it stand out. The world would be boring if we were all the same!

Pictures:
Slippers from Tescos F&F |
